I have been wearing the volumizer for 20 months now.

It requires very little attention and is so comfortable that I hardly know that I am wearing it. I never used to receive compliments about my hair, now everyone tells me how young I look. No one knows that I'm even wearing it, even when I wear my hair up because it blends so naturally with my own hair. I have confidence about my hair that I haven't had for 30 years. Growing up, I had luscious, long and shiny brown hair with soft curls.

My hair was my crown. It was a point of pride and beauty. I began losing my hair at the age of 18. It was gradual, but painful. I could see it wasn't growing back. Whatever did was thin and frail. That, coupled with graying temples, I decided to investigate. Every Dermatologist told me it was hereditary, and nothing could be done about it. I watched helplessly as my crown slowly deteriorated. When I moved to Philadelphia, I decided to inquire about hair extensions to add volume to my now flat hair. The only problem with extensions is that it does not mask baldness at the temple and crown. The volumizer feels natural and sturdy. I went in every 4-7 weeks to get it taken off and washed, and give my scalp a good scrub! And when I want to change my hair color, Kat and the team at Chroma Hair Gallery work hard to make sure my color blends seamlessly. It is so pretty that I do not need to style it. The wavy option I chose blended seamlessly with my hair's texture. It looks cute down, straight, curly, in a bun or ponytail. I'm now into my third volumizer, and would not give it up until they come up with an accessible solution to hair loss. It helped me feel beautiful again. I first began wearing a Volumizer in 2013.

My naturally wavy hair had always been thin, but as I grayed the waves disappeared and I began thinking about augmenting my hair. This thought process accelerated after a freak accident which left me with a huge scrape on my forehead. Bangs seemed like a great idea!

I had a consultation meeting with Kat where she recommended the type of Volumizer, the texture and the color which would be best for me. A few days later I was a brunette again, and with a chic new hairdo.

The strangest part of the whole process was how few people realized that I was wearing a Volumizer.
